A Reflection on the Boudoir Summit

I've had some time to think about my time at the Boudoir Summit, and as I reflect back, I'm filled with a lot of pride and gratitude. I'm proud of myself for going - my first solo work trip! I'm proud of myself to teaching a workshop on fat acceptance, for meeting new people despite being intimidated by the thought, and for getting up at 6am for a photo shoot (I am NOT a morning person). I'm grateful for the people at the Boudoir Album who made the summit happen. I cannot imagine the hours spent into putting all of that together (big shout out the Emily who made it happen!). I'm grateful for the photographers who are trying to better their studios to help people as best they can. And I'm grateful as heck to my clients who make it possible for me to go to things like photographer summits. I learned. I grew. I became a better photographer. And I finally got to watch Godzilla x Kong as an in flight movie. What's not to love about the Boudoir Summit? Well, maybe sprinklers going off during photo shoots, but that wasn't actually any one's fault. I'm pretty sure they were on automatic timers and I'm sure maintenance wasn't expecting a bunch of lingerie clad women running around before sunrise on a Wednesday. But to be honest, the sprinklers made for some gorgeous portraits. Happy accidents, ammirite?
