My very first client in the studio had a lot to celebrate. She's having a baby! Every pregnancy is amazing, but there's something extra special about rainbow babies. I'm not going to pretend to know what pregnancy loss is like. I've empathized with mothers who have spoken to me about it in the studio, but I'll never really know, and for that reason I'm not going to write much about that experience. I do want you to know that if you've lost a pregnancy, your body is still a body that deserves your love.
Babe M's previous babies are not forgotten. She dedicated a space on her body to them with a tattoo, which I made sure to document in her final shots. All of her babies are special and should be remembered.
When we were planning her session, Babe M said she wanted to do something to honor her body. She has overcome a lot, and it's clear from her session how much beauty there is in her changing body. Thank you, Babe M, for letting me photograph it.
